Oxford Ladies 12 v 32 Bucks Bunnies
Posted by bullet.gif Rowdie on October 19 2009
The Bunnies were relishing the thought of being tested right before Yarmouth against the strongest competition in Region 5.

The day started badly with the match sheet being done early, then three of the Bunnies seemingly deciding to walk from MK. By 1230 Oxford were threatening to put Toastie as player one, on the 10 minute clock. A few heated words, nothing serious, then the stragglers came in and the match started straight away. No time for team talk, no time for ?show me the bunny.? Disaster, against the one team we really wanted to be fired up for.

So how much would it matter?

The first session got off to a flying start with Toast, Pink and Haribo quickly taking the first 3 frames. Oxford pulled a couple back, then a good win from Jo set us back on the right track. The Fish ended the session 8-3, pulling out a finish of sick proportions against the quality Lyndsey Cook. Get in there trout-face. No time for ?show me the Bunny??? Bunny being shown all over the shop.

Second session, even more bunny on the table with a 9 frame run. Rowdie excelling her own stupidity record by calling a foul break, re-racking the balls and then finding a yellow missing. Paniiiiiiic. Then Lisa Hanley, Oxford?s answer to Poirot, had her suspicions aroused, investigated and found the yellow cunningly disguised as a two inch green lump under the racking cloth. Derrrrrrrr.

Buns leading 17-5.

Third session, often the Bunnies undoing, but Chocolate Chinny appeared (no guys, don?t get excited. Chinny WITH chocolate, not Chinny IN chocolate) and once again, a bit of a spanking, bunnies taking the set 8-3. Do that again Chinny. Match score now stands at a ridiculously good 25-8.

With the match beyond reach, the fourth session wheels started to come off, with the Ox going into a 4-1 lead, only Ruth Lowe sparing the Bunnies blushes. Bunny wrestling gave way to the Gouter Game which reached unprecedented levels of violence when Toastie sat on Griff and forced her to punch herself in the, well, you know*

Back on the table, Stacey, in her capacity as referee, reached new heights on the white ball polishing offensiveness scale. That?s one cue ball you don?t want in hand. At 4-1 down, and the much desired 30 slipping away, the arse end big hitters strode on banging off all 6 of the remaining frames. The session was taken 7-4, the highlight of which was Slapdash dishing up, then attempting to out fuck-wit Rowdie, remarking to her crest-fallen opponent, ?I?m sorry I dished, but I just needed to.? LMAO Classic.

Final match score 32-12.

Another maximum for the incredibly jammy and often a little bit shit, Cunningham, with the Griff taking POM for her 4/4. The POM was welcome, bondage comments from the Hallett, decidedly not.

Putting this into context, this was a fantastic result for the Bunnies against a very strong side. Oxford Ladies have several players jostling for England trials and would be winning several of the regions in the country. Giving them a 32-12 mauling - great work Buns.

Congrats to the B for a great 25-19 win, Jon Loveday?s maximum winning him POM and another 4/4 to Mr Clavey. Well done to Jim Jams for his 3 /4 and POM for the A?s.

Up the Bucks, over and out.
