There was a meeting tonight discussing a few things that we want to happen in the league. Andy will post a lot of these on here at the weekend.
Teams will be capped to 7 players, if for any reason s player leaves then you can replace him/her up to halfway point of season. A player though will have to be unregistered to make space for said player. Once a player is unregistered then they will be out till the following season.
Hopefully we starting early March, as soon as teams are signed.
There will be 2 singles and 2 team knockouts and we may look at different formats for these comps.
We are also going to invest in new league trophies, singles and doubles trophies will remain the same though we are looking to get miniatures to hand to the winners to keep.
Talks also about a regular presentation night, this would consist of a disco, buffet, presentation and a comp of sorts to make it more of a complete evening. This will probably be on a friday or Saturday.

Just for our information - why the sudden capping of players at 7? Seems a bit of a silly rule for those teams who have a lot of players that can only make certain games. It's a bit regressive.

It was discussed last night, the original proposal was for 7 players and was voted in so there was no need for a 2nd vote. It would have been unfair as some players had gone home.
