AGM MINUTES & PRESENTATION

The MKTPL AGM and Presentation took place on Tuesday 27th at the Herald.

AGM MINUTES:
7.45pm Meeting opened and chaired by Maria Lewis
Attendees: Maria Lewis, Lee Head & Harry Toman (Dove), Andy Waters (Minions), Chris Rodman (Foresters), Paul Smith, Paul Baxter & Nigel Bull
(BSC), Michael, Terry, Peter, Del & Andy French (SUNT)
Apologies: Stuart Douglas

1. Discussed the rules and any issues with them. Everyone seemed happy with the rules and preferred to World Rules. Some rule points where clarified, including the 9 ball rerack. It was mentioned that the black should be nominated but it was agreed to stick to the National Blackball rules and that the only part of the rule to be excluded is the preventing the Cue Ball going into a pocket. ML informed those present that there has been a slight change to the National rules and this is now it is not a foul to move the cue ball with the shaft of your cue to place it.
2. PoolAppLive & format -A) If one team does not have access to the app then the other team cannot use it - IT IS POSSIBLE for one team to use the app there will be no opponent player but the score will still go through and those using the app players will get their ranking points. B) When both teams use the App the away team cannot see who the Home team have selected before making their choice. It was raised that it has always been the Away Teams advantage. It was voted on and the majority voted that the Away team should still have this advantage.
ACTION: Maria to speak to John Clavey
3. Out of Town Rule. This was discussed at great lengths and it was voted on. The majority voted to keep it as it is for now with a view to increase teams within MK and then maybe consider opening up to teams outside but they must play from a MK venue. This will go back on the agenda for next year.
AOB:
1) With the fixtures last season some teams didnt have a match for 4 weeks so please can the committee look at the fixtures and try and avoid in the future.
2) With the AGM as previous, having very few attendees it was proposed that each team should have at least 1 member attend the AGM, all teams that do have a representative will start the season with a bonus point. This was voted on and the majority that this should be implemented. This will take affect from the next AGM.
3)It was raised that more people are needed for the committee. Lee Head, Andy Waters and Andy French have joined the committee.
4) The Herald will no longer be sponsoring the MKTPL so the Q-Academy MK will now sponsor the league. It was asked how much will the Q-Academy MK be sponsoring the league for and it was confirmed it would be no less than the £200 sponsored by the Herald.

REGISTRATION FOR THE NEW SEASON IS 11th July. Forms and £50 Team Registration fee can be left in an envelope at the Q-Academy addressed to either Maria or Stuart. We will be in the Q-Academy on the 11th between 7pm - 10pm. Pubs will also be visited beforehand.

We've had a good season and Blackball has been successful so lets try and get more teams involved.
