Yesterday Bucks traveled to Gloucestershire where the A team were in a title decider knowing a draw or win would be enough to see the regional title heading the way of Buckinghamshire....
in a less than perfect start to the day illness left the B team and seniors very short on players and inevitably suffered heavy defeats which was a disappointing end to their seasons.

The A team match started and as you can imagine in such a crucial game both sets of players crowded round the tables creating a real atmosphere, which at times was a touch hostile but fun none the less to play in.
It wasn't the best start for Bucks going behind 5-2 in the early frames but the team won 3 of the next 4 meaning Gloucestershire took a tence first set by 6 frames to 5.
Gloucestershire also started the second set the better winning the first two frames but again Bucks came back at them taking 4 of the next 5 only for the boys from Gloucestershire to come straight back at us taking 3 of the last 4 and again winning the set 6-5 leaving the score at 12-10 to the home team.
The third set once again started well for Gloucestershire as they took 3 of the first 4 frames, but with the score sitting at 15-11 Bucks made their move and took 5 of the next 6 but lost the final frame in the set meaning Bucks won the set 6-5 leaving just one frame separating the teams heading into the final set.
Unlike the previous three sets, Bucks started the brighter taking 4 of the first 5 frames and edging into the lead for the fist time in the match,,, the final six 'very nervy' frames were shared out equally at three a piece, but that was good enough for Bucks who had the draw they needed with two frames still being played, of which we won one to give us a win on the day and the regional title to go with it*cheer*
Final score was, Gloucestershire 21-23 Buckinghamshire

Very proud of what we have achieved this year winning 9 of our 10 matches in a region that is getting tougher and tougher by the year...
WELL DONE YOU BUCKERS!!! *cheer*
Stupid game anyway!!!

well done everyone - great achievement *drinking*
8 times in a row - not bad for a "Mid Table" team

No mate, missed out by a single frame:o
However, Ken Edwards(won the region)/terry Davidson/Cleveland Thompson/Daryl Whitworth all got in from Bucks*cheer*
Nathan Ellis came joint runner up in the region but is a U23 so doesn't take a men's trials spot. *tup*
Stupid game anyway!!!
