after great discussions with the chairman and a couple of members about the fact we only have 13 teams entered,
I've spent the time since the registration night looking for at least 1 more team with no success. and for obvious reasons we cant have a league with less than 14 teams witch would give us a short season of 2 league divisions. so we have decided if I am unable to find more teams
we will have one division of 13 teams & 3 byes it will be a long season may to march,
the format will be 7 A teams & 6 B teams there will be a 2 frame handicap for the B teams playing ageist an A team
example Dove v newbies the match would start with the newbies 2 nil up best of 11 can I please have sensible thoughts on this idea from Sunday Members only please on this thread

If you managed to get one more team, so 14, possibly two divisions of 7, where they play home and away twice.

If it goes as one big league, a handicap is not a bad idea to give some extra balance, would it mean there'd be 9 frames played in an A vs B match as two are byes?

EDIT: What frames would be byed as well? Like frames 1 and 6? If so, can the A team turn up with 4 players as they wouldn't require five.

no sorry if your turn up with 4 players you would lose 4 frames first 5 frames will still be 5 different players even though the B team gets the first 2 they also will have to name 5 different players for the first 5 frames other wise we would have to change our league format

Ok so when they name there first player they automatically get the win and the other will get the loss??

Also what are the teams that will have the handicap??

yep teams are easy b would be 1st division team's because teams are missing and to even it out there will be 6 A teams and 7 B

There will now be 2 divisions of 7teams with 1 bye unless we get more team's season will start 12 May
