Bucks 'A' versus Warcs 'A' ~ Match Report

Away to Warcs was always goona be tough but unusually foro us we got of to a 3-0 head start thanks to wins from Scott Rutter, Jimmy Wharton and Dane Tuttlebee. Our excitement was short lived as we only manged another 2 wins out of the remaining 8 games, Terry Davidson and Franco Marsala doing it for the bucks. 4 frames coming from newly promoted 'A' team players may sound surprising for some of us but i always had the faith in them. So 6-5 to arcs after 1st session..

Dane carried on his great form and won again in the second session, top stuff from luigi, lol.. further losses from John H, Sean G and Paul A could have left us with our heads down but wins from Scott, Jimmy, Stuart, Disher Dan, Franco, Steve A and Terry gave us the sesion 8-3. Fantastic effort from the bucks giving us a 13-9 lead goin into the 3rd..

We also won this session, 6-5 with nice wins coming from John H, Dane, Sean, Franco, Stuart and Terry. With 3 of our players on 3/3 it was looking good and we had a great lead going into last session of 19-14, needing only four games for the win.
Now normally the bucks are infamous for starting off slow and storming in at the end but alas it was not to be as warcs suddendly hit a fine streak of form. We lost 5 of the first 6 games played, the win coming from John H. The 7th game went to Paul Anderson who broke his duck for the day and just at the right time for us. $ games to play and it was anyones match at 19-21 to the Bucks. We had so many chances in a few games but just failed to cross the line and with the next 3 games goin to warcs and only one frame to play we could only now manage the draw. Steve Appleby was our last player and in a tense long game managed to win aand secure the draw for the Bucks. A bit disappointing overall as we had a nice lead going into last session but the positives are that when our top players had, for them, a bad day our new 'A' teamers stuck in there and got some good results for us. So a massive Congrats to the likes of Scott Rutter 2/4, Jimmy Wharton 2/4 and Dane Tuttlebee for a great 3/4.
Our player of theh match went to Terry Davidson... well done Terry...

Ther has been a few changes to the Bucks teams lately due to various circumstances and i think everyone should be very proud of how we are developing as a team. Kepp up the good work chaps and will see ya all for next match.
One last word on the 'B' team, who also managed a draw and of course the Ladies who manage to humiliate all those that cross there path, leaving them virtually in tears wondering what went wrong. A fine 11-33 win for the bunnies, so all in all a great day for the Bucks
