Oxford Vs Bucks 'A' team Report

Due to me running late I did not get to pick the team order and for this I apologise. I had a disappointing 1/4 and never really felt comfortable playing all day. Well back to the report, in a match that the Bucks were well up for we arrived and felt that we may as well have been playing underwater. Humid to say the least with more wood been rubbed down than at a porn convention.. Off to a great start with wins from Dan, Jimmy, Mike and Terry D to take us 4-0 up and then the nightmare started. Losing the next 7 meant we lost 7-4, an absolute farce.

With the second set goin much the same way, taking a 5-2 lead and eventually losing that session 6-5, at least it was a little closer with Bucks wins coming from Terry, Duvet, Dan, Jimmy and Steve.

Third session also went 6-5 to Ox with myself getting a win on the scorecard along with Jimmy, Mike, Peter and Sean.
A repeat of the first session scoreline meant that Ox won session 7-4 and the match 26-18 wins coming from Mike, Duvet, Sean and Peter. Overall it was a very disappointing performance with most people not happy to be playing in those conditions. Next time we may have to take our scuba gear to Ox...

Man of the match was Jimmy Jamster with a fine 3/4 and also a special mention to big Chappell who also got 3/4 and played extremely well. I can only assume that Jimmy went begging to the ox captain for man of the match... The plus's to take away from this game are zero cos underwater pool wont catch on. The Bucks prefer to play on dry land.

A few players are improving rapidly with the like of Jimmy, Mike and Duvet and im looking forward to starting next season positively and with a lot more successs. Congrats to our 'B' team who restored some pride for the Bucks, winning 25-19 with a great performance from John Loveday, a deserved Man of Match. Not forgetting the Bunnies who never disappoint, an absolute mauling of the ox ladies with a scoreline of 32-12. Kerry 'sniff' Griffiths getting player of teh match with an excellent 4/4.

Next game is against Warwickshire at home so lets get back into winning ways and kick some arse.
